What I Do at Southwest Michigan First
As CFO, I get to wear many hats to support the team, the leadership, and the broader community. The basis of my work is leading our accounting and finance functions—ensuring we use the resources we are entrusted with efficiently, effectively, and responsibly to maximize impact. In partnership with our leadership team, I help set and execute the strategic priorities outlined in our action plan. I also lead our internal operations team, overseeing human resources, information technology, facilities, and organizational infrastructure to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Why I Love Working Here
I have the privilege of supporting an amazing and passionate team as they strive to help improve the lives of every resident of Southwest Michigan.

The big city amenities, with the small town feel. The mix of urban, suburban, and rural life. The ability to enjoy a vibrant downtown, a world-class beach, or a quiet lake—all within a few minutes’ drive.
When I’m Not at Work, You’ll Find Me…
Traveling; checking out a Broadway show, a museum, or a game; reading; walking our mostly-well-behaved dog; or just spending time with my wife.
