Program Overview
First 50 is a dynamic leadership development program that pairs experienced leaders from across Southwest Michigan with the next generation of changemakers. Through intentional, one-on-one relationships and engaging in-person sessions, the program supports the professional growth of emerging leaders—without pulling them away from their day job.
Participants will develop skills and insights in:

- Executive habits
- Emotional intelligence
- Building intentional relationships

Program Highlights
Emerging Leaders (Mentees) Commit To:
- Five in-person sessions including kickoff, mixers, and a closing celebration
- Four one-on-one mentorship meetings
- Gallup Strengths assessment
- Sharing your experiences, challenges, and growth goals
- $1,500 program fee ($1,250 for Chamber members)
2025 Program Schedule:
- Kickoff: Wednesday, September 3 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Meet & Greet: Wednesday, September 24 (7:30 – 9:30 a.m.)
- Session 2 – Emotional Intelligence: Monday, October 20 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Session 3 – Executive Habits: Tuesday, November 19 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Closing Mixer: Thursday, January 15 (2 – 5:30 p.m.)
Mentors Commit To:
- 90-minute launch session and meet & greet
- Four flexible mentorship meetings
- Sharing experience, networks, and opportunities for growth
- Completing Gallup Strengths (if not already completed)
How It Works

2. Get Matched
You’ll be paired with a mentor aligned with your goals.
3. Grow Together
Meet your mentor at least four times. All program sessions are held at The Catalyst Center. A full program calendar is provided in the playbook.
