Sustainability is at the core of good business. The mission of the Sustainable Business Collaborative is to drive social and environmental sustainability actions through collaboration to foster business success in the Southwest Michigan region.
Company led, we are dedicated to coordinating and supporting efforts surrounding impactful sustainability focused programming. This initiative is designed to actively address topics that will impact our community and lead to recognition of Southwest Michigan as a leader in sustainability and maximize the knowledge and expertise of regional organizations.
*We utilize the MI Healthy Climate Plan to help inform our work.
Efforts include sharing and promotion of best practices; development of community goals that leverage the collaborative weight of organizations; engagement in public policy and regulation discussions; establish a community award and criteria; promotion of social responsibility; and creation of a cultural movement surrounding sustainability that will attract talent to the community.
