A lover of all things local.
On a typical Saturday, Kelsey McKague can be found browsing fresh produce and crafty handiwork on display at the Kalamazoo Farmers’ Market. It’s the perfect place to feed her passions for spending time outdoors and watching businesses grow, especially the local startups! Mix in a walk through the park with her dogs and dinner at a new restaurant with her husband, Corey, and her perfect weekend is complete.
Kelsey brings her love for strengthening local businesses to the Southwest Michigan First team as our community concierge. She combines this passion with her eye for the details to bring our events to life, from Leadership Kalamazoo to First Leaders to Catalyst University. Kelsey is all about curating and executing experiences that leave you eager to elevate your leadership and team.
Originally from Midland, Michigan, she has loved making Kalamazoo her own after moving to the area to attend Kalamazoo College. While studying English and business, Kelsey played on the school’s lacrosse team and was proud to be a part of the program when it moved from club to varsity! When she takes a break from being active outdoors or planning the next great event, Kelsey enjoys diving into a good book and spending time with family and friends.
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
