Behind every great team is an incredible woman.
If Cynthia McMullin could clone herself and launch a second career, she would love to be a fashion or interior designer. Since the purchase of her first sewing machine in high school, Cynthia has discovered her talent in adding a twist to simple items to make them spectacular. On a given Saturday, she’s likely making her creative ideas happen at home by combing through magazines for ideas, followed by a trip to the hardware store, plant nursery or fabric store for new materials.
Cynthia’s ability to go above and beyond suits her well in her role as director at Southwest Michigan First. Called on to facilitate, organize and support the organization’s consulting and event execution efforts, Cynthia’s eye for detail is unparalleled. When you attend an event that Cynthia’s had a hand in, you can bet that it will have the same special touch that she gives to her home décor.
A Western Michigan University graduate and proud lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan, Cynthia finds enjoyment living in a close-knit community that affords her the ability to step out in style in our region’s downtown venues. She credits her previous experience at another local nonprofit, Colleagues International, for inspiring her with a strong desire to serve her community and the world!
