Sending Healthy Vibes Your Way
Given the current global situation in response to COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want all of our beloved clients and customers to know that we are here to support you in any way we can. Here at Southwest Michigan First, we are doing what we can to prioritize your safety and support the precautionary health measures. As we hear updates from you and your businesses, we understand that your efforts and plans may suddenly be out of your control.
Our Physical Office Is Closed, but We’re Still Doing Business!
Due to suggested safety precautions, our office will be closed effective March 16, 2020 through midnight on April 30, 2020. We expect to reopen on May 1, 2020.
At Southwest Michigan First, our clients’ success and our team’s safety is a top priority. In times of natural disasters and other unexpected or challenging events, we have plans and processes in place to ensure our services remain available while protecting our team and yours. This approach should allow you to focus on your critical business goals and the well-being of your workforce.
How You Can Connect with Our Team
Southwest Michigan First team members have the resources and tools they need to perform their jobs securely from any location. Beyond closing our office, we are recommending that our team members do not travel to client work sites unless absolutely necessary to comply with guidelines that your organizations may have set in place.
Serving the needs of our clients is at the center of our DNA. Our team is, and always has been, available to you 24/7. You can contact members of our team by calling 269.553.9588 and following the phone prompts. We encourage those of you whom already have access to the private cell phone numbers of your direct contacts on our team to please call. Email is also a great way to stay connected and you can do so from this link.
- After clicking that link, find who you want to connect with, click on their photo and select the word “email” under their name and title.
- Don’t worry about getting the right person on the first try. We will pass along the message quickly to whom can best serve you.

Connecting in and out of Our Space
As the situation continues to evolve, we are approaching all of our operations—including meetings, events and leadership programming—with public health and safety as our priority and in accordance with national and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services recommendations.
At this time, we are suspending all gatherings in our office. We are doing so to protect you, your team and ours. We are encouraging our team members to connect with you at your level of comfort through video-conferencing, phone, email, etc. We are in progress of rescheduling all meetings, events and leadership programming for a date later date this year.
We sincerely appreciate your continued trust in our team members as we work tirelessly to serve our mission that the greatest force for change is a job. For the most timely information, we suggest that you stay connected to us through FIRST & 42, our digital newsletter, and social media.
We wish you good health and all the love, support and virtual (and sanitized) hugs we have.
