Thomas J. Webb
Thomas J. Webb is a highly respected utility industry executive and chief financial officer with more than 40 years of experience. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor to CenterPoint Energy, the only investor owned electric and gas utility based in Texas with metered customers in Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas. Webb advises the Business Review and Evaluation Committee (BREC) of the Board of Directors on its work as it continues to look at all options available to drive stakeholder value, maximize the company’s value proposition and financial strength, and enhance shareholder engagement.
Thomas J. Webb, previously served as chairman of EnerBank USA, a provider of home improvement loans to both home owners and contractors. Prior to that locally, Tom was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Consumers Energy Company and CMS Enterprises Company, subsidiaries of CMS Energy since 2002. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of CMS Generation Co. from 2006 to May 2007. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company from 2002 until 2003 and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Kellogg Company from 1999 until 2002 and Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Visteon, a division of Ford Motor Company from 1996 until 1999. He began his career at Ford Motor Co. in 1977, holding increasingly responsible finance and management positions over 22 years in the United States and in Europe. Tom has been Director of CMS Enterprises since 2002. He served as Director of CMS Generation Co. from 2003 to May 2007. He received the National Distinguished Service Award from the Boy Scouts of America.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, both from Virginia’s George Mason University.
