Lee Utke was the senior director, global corporate real estate, for Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, Michigan. His responsibilities included the development of an enterprise delivery organization that integrated all aspects of real estate, construction and facility management activities with Whirlpool’s operational and financial strategies. In addition to his department responsibilities, Lee was also a participant on the corporation’s mergers and acquisitions due diligence team and a trustee to Harbor Shores, LLC.
Prior to joining Whirlpool, Lee was vice president of commercial development for ITT Land Corporation, directed a regional nonprofit economic development agency and worked on the corporate planning team for the Walgreen company.
Lee graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Systems with emphasis in finance, accounting and economics. He is a member and past chairman of the board of CoreNet, was the initial recipient of the Award of Merit from the Michigan Industrial Developers Association and has been a recipient of the Alexander Hamilton Award in 2001 and 2002 from the Treasury Management Association. Lee is also a former member of the executive board for Child and Family Services, vice commodore of South Haven Yacht Club and currently on the executive committee to privately fund a 100-acre regional recreational park for area youth.
