Huntington Bank West Michigan
John Irwin is Huntington Bank’s President for the West Michigan Region, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high levels of customer service across all business segments. John also has direct business responsibility for Huntington’s Private Client Group including Private Banking and Wealth Management.
John is a 38-year banking veteran with a vast array of experience including International Services, Business Banking, Corporate Banking and Retail Banking Administration. His career has taken him to Indianapolis, Indiana, Phoenix, Columbus and now Grand Rapids, Michigan for the past fourteen years.
He is an active community advocate, currently serving on the boards of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, The Right Place, Southwest Michigan First, the Women’s Resource Center, St. Cecilia Music Center, Grand Rapids Symphony, What’s Next Grand Rapids, Co-Chair Armed Forces Thanksgiving, and Talent 2025.
John did his undergraduate work at DePauw University, received a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University and graduated from The Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He resides in Grand Rapids with his wife, Martha.
