Robert M. Brown
President, Arcadia Capital Corporation
Robert M. Brown has 38 years of Venture Capital and Real Estate Development experience. He started in real estate in 1969 building mobile home parks and grew into Venture Capital investment in 47 companies. These investments included banks, real estate, manufacturing, farms, retail and distributorships. He remains in five of these investments including Treystar, Inc. where he spends the majority of his time.
Mr. Brown and his partner Craig DeNooyer founded Southwest Michigan First in 1998 and he was Chairman until 2004. He remains active in making Kalamazoo County a pro growth community.
Mr. Brown has an engineering degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard. He has been married for 42 years to his wife Susan, has 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
