Paul joined Southwest Michigan First in March 2006 to lead the life sciences business cluster. He is directly accountable for facilitating the growth of existing life science companies and also attracting new life science companies to the area.

Paul possesses more than 15 years of broad business experience, holding various leadership positions in sales, finance and operations primarily within the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to joining Southwest Michigan First, Paul led the Kalamazoo site of a pharmaceutical/healthcare outsourcing company, accountable for the profit and loss of the site and was responsible for up to 100 employees.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and also earned a Master's of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
